Tower-stove

Tower-stoves are precious objects of art. They impress the history of a house, upon the owners or an era very clearly. Such treasures belong in the hands of a specialist like Fredi Mathys. Famous museums like the Swiss National Museum in Zurich, the Museum Castle Kyburg or the UNESCO World Heritage Site Monastery St.John of Müstair rely on the knowledge and skill of Fredi Mathys for this demanding work.

Fredi Mathys among others rebuilt the worldwide most precious tile-stove of David and Hans-Heinrich Pfau from the year 1698. Owners of such objects of art trust in his knowledge and experience, to restore a tower-stove to its old functions and look. Through a special technique the tiles of a tower-stove are not overstrained when heated. Fredi Mathys builds all antique tower-stoves with biological, natural materials in a way, which the stove can be dismantled again anytime and with this can be preserved
